Activated peroxygen chemistry utilizes a stabilized form of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and pairs it with peroxyacetic acid (PAA). These two compounds create a potent oxidation reaction. Working together, PAA and hydroxide (OH) break down algae cell walls and then annihilate it from the inside out. The reaction works quickly; eliminating any chance of mutational resistance.

As the algae-fighting reaction takes place, the hydrogen peroxide and PAA break down into natural compounds: water, oxygen and elements of organic acids.

GreenClean liquid is labeled for rates up to 30 gallons per surface acre. A typical field application for most filamentous algae falls within the 5–10 gallons per surface acre range. GreenClean Liquid is a concentrate and is diluted 1:10 for spray applications. GreenClean Liquid is compatible with most non–ionic surfactants and polymers.
