Fountain and
Aeration Systems
As part of the overall management
strategy for your lake or pond, a fountain or aeration system is an
important component.
In our environmentally conscious
world, installation of aeration equipment used in conjunction with proper
algae and weed treatment programs results in increased oxygen levels,
and an aesthetically pleasing body of water. Aeration and fountain systems
help in controlling problems of algae build up, aquatic weeds, bottom
sludge and aquatic odors in lakes and ponds.
One of the most popular methods
used today are beautiful floating fountains. This electric motor-driven
process creates the fountain's spray pattern which absorbs oxygen above
the water's surface. It is then released upon impact when the oxygen
filled droplets strike the surface of the water, transferring over two
pounds of oxygen per horsepower per hour. This process prevents thermal
stratification and supports aerobic bacterial action, resulting in clearer,
cleaner, odor-free water.
AQUA DOC specializes in the
AquaMaster line of floating fountains. The patented high-efficiency,
stainless steel propeller diffuser system is backed by the finest warranty
in the industry. AquaMaster fountains come in sizes from 1/2 to 10 horsepower,
pumping from 325 to thousands of gallons per minute. Fountains may be
ordered with control panels, timers, light systems, a variety of nozzle
patterns, and many other features.
AQUA DOC also carries and installs
the Aqua-Aire Pond Aeration System. Aqua-Aire replenishes the oxygen
in your pond by using a 1/3 HP shore mounted compressor to pump air
to the bottom. The air is forced through four diffuser stones on the
lake or pond's bottom. The air rises to the surface, completely mixing
and oxygenating your pond. AQUA DOC can design a custom system to meet
the demands of your lake or pond.

Koenders
Free Air Windmill (Please
call for pricing options)
Koenders Windmill
is a direct drive energy transfer system that has no gears andfew moving
parts. The operation is efficient and easy to maintain. If you do haveto
replace a part, it won't be an all day job. The simplicity of the design
is an added feature.
- Wind strikes
the blades, turning a crankshaft.
- Offset, grease
sealed ball bearings transfer power from the crankshaft to a connecting
rod.
- The connecting
rod, attached to a diaphragm at the bottom end, acts like a piston
to draw air into the system on the down stroke, and force it out into
the hose on the upstroke. The 1/2" stroke produces 1.5 cubic
feet of air per minute at 5 lbs. psi with a maximum pressure of 35
psi.

- The pressurized
air passes through the hose and is released in the bottom of the dugout.
A series of 3 check valves ensure a one way airflow through the system,
and prevent water from returning back The first valve on the diaphragm,
allows air to enter the system. A second, on the top of the compressor,
allows air to pass out of the system. A third, in the dugout, releases
air into the water.
Vertex
Aerators (Please call
for pricing options)
Vertex
bottom aeration systems create a vertical current using the rising force
of millions of small bubbles to entrain the water column, "turning
the lake over" and allowing oxygen to be absorbed at the lake's
surface.
By
moving the lower-oxygen water up from the bottom and eliminating thermal
stratification, oxygen levels throughout the water column are increased.
Wide swings in oxygen are stabilized, preventing fish kills.
Our
systems also improve sport fisheries by allowing fish to expand their
territory into formerly oxygen-deprived portions of the lake.Designed
to be both efficient and cost effective for our customers,
Vertex aeration systems can aerate up to a 10 acre lake with as little
as a single 3/4hp compressor! Very low monthly operation costs, low
maintenance (self-cleaning diffusers), and no potentially dangerous
electricity in the water.
