Sonar AS (1 Pint)  $349.95
Sonar AS (1 Pint)

Sonar will remove unwanted weeds from your lake or pond for a year or longer with a single treatment. No other aquatic herbicide on the planet is more effective on duckweed, period. Unlike other aquatic herbicides, Sonar has no restrictions on water use after application. Swimmers can still swim. Fisherman can still fish. Livestock can still drink. Check the label for irrigation precautions.

Sonar has been the product of choice for professional aquatic applicators from Florida to California for the past fifteen years. Sonar is the most effective and cost-efficient treatment you can buy for the selective, long-term control of undesirable weeds. Now homeowners can enjoy the benefits of time-tested application methods and materials developed by SePRO scientists to reclaim lost waters in some of the largest and most environmentally sensitive lakes in the United States. SePRO is the recognized world leader in advancing the science of aquatic plant management. Trust your pond to SePRO and Sonar.

Sonar A.S. selectively manages undesirable aquatic vegetation for a year or longer and is recommended for use in water bodies with soft or muck bottoms. Sonar A.S., or Aqueous Solution, is easy to apply and just one application will provide season-long enjoyment of your pond. Sonar A.S. is available for immediate uptake into the target plants and is the ideal choice in waterbodies with minimal water flow and when targeting strands of floating vegetation such as duckweed. Water treated with Sonar A.S. will not harm any wildlife in or around your pond and can be used immediately for swimming or fishing.

Timing
Sonar A.S. can be applied starting in early spring, at the first sign of weeds floating to the surface, through midsummer.

Pond Level
Best control is obtained when discharge can be stopped for thirty days or longer. Pond levels should be at or near normal when water level when treated. Excessive outflow dilutes Sonar A.S. and reduces the chance of control. Outflow can be reduced by lowering pond level prior to treating with a siphon made from a rubber or PVC pipe.

Dose
The dose for the first Sonar A.S. application is normally one (1) quart per surface acre depending upon depth (see product label). Use 1 1/2 quarts of Sonar A.S. per surface-acre for watermeal.

Application
The labeled rate for Sonar A.S. should be split and applied in two applications about 10 - 14 days apart. For small ponds, application can be made from the bank, or in the middle if possible. If you do not have access to a small sprayer, simply dilute the product in a large container with water according to labeled rates and empty directly into the pond. Be sure to triple rinse the container and pour the wash water back into the pond. If you are using a sprayer, place the nozzle of the sprayer underneath the water surface and apply. This is often referred to as an injection application. Spray in a straight stream directly in the water (do not "mist" on top of plants such as duckweed and watermeal). It is not necessary for Sonar A.S. to come into direct contact with the plants for effective control. If infestation is heavy and the weeds form a dense thick mat on the water, disperse the weeds in order to get the product directly into the water.

Control Time
Plants should start turning white as control begins in 15 to 30 days. It may take 30 to 90 days for final results. This slow rate of control is beneficial as it greatly decreases the chance for a severe change in oxygen levels which can harm fish.

No Restrictions
For swimming, fishing, boating or livestock use. Some precautions may apply for irrigation. See product label for complete details.
